Technical project Engineer

SmartDrive Ltd is a successful UK company dedicated to the design, manufacture and installation of high specification motion control solutions. We are firmly established as a leader in our field with a large customer base spanning both scientific and industrial markets.

We require a technical project engineer to join our motivated team. This challenging position will require the successful candidate to demonstrate a diverse range of technical skills required to develop ideas from concepts to working products.

Demonstrating a logical approach at all times you will be responsible for developing initial customer requirements through to completed designs and implementation. Working with Microsoft Windows based environments, you will be familiar with applying ActiveX based tools and languages such as BASIC or C++ to create results. Having an excellent understanding of real world electrical interfacing and diagnostics your practical experience will assist you in satisfactorily taking your design to final production stages.

Capable of working with a variety of projects simultaneously you will fit neatly into our busy multitasking environment. You will enjoy the responsibility of project management and the freedom our structure offers creative individuals. You will often be working directly onsite with customers therefore good communication skills, empathy and smart appearance is essential.
